Signs:
Visible signs of a Jones Fracture will often appear after the injury has been sustained. In the event of a trauma or significant impact, the patient's chief complaint will be pain in the middle and outside of the foot. In the patient has an injury that has been building over a long period of time from sustained use, the patient will probably not feel significant and sharp pain at first. In some instances, patients with this type of fracture notice the swelling and discoloration before anything else arises.
